Aspen Ladd began her journey in combat sports at the young age of fourteen. She studied boxing, kickboxing as well as wrestling, before making her first appearance in amateur competition at WCFC in front of Jaimee Nievera. Ladd was able to continue building upon her win during Ultimate Reno Combat, where she fought three times in a row. She defeated all her opponents within the first round. She then went back to WCFC and defeated Leslie Rodriguez via unanimous decision. Aspen won against Silvia Babaeghian Maddy Simmons and Cynthia Calvillo in WCFC 9 before taking on Cynthia Calvillo in WCFC 9 Cynthia beat Aspen and defeated her via unanimous decision to put an end to Ladd's amateur record. Ladd rebounded from her defeat, and won Roma Pawelek at Tuff-N-Uff to take her record up to 8-1. Aspen began her professional career in 2015 after signing as a player with Invicta FC. Invicta Fc 11 was her first fight. She dominated Ana Carolina Vidal and won the fight in one round with a TKO. Invicta 16, she was able to move into the Bantamweight division after winning her fight with Amanda Cooper by armbar in the second round. Aspen employed her impressive grappling skills to defeat McGill and ended her via third round TKO(elbows and punches). Aspen was then able to fight Jessica Hoy for Invicta FC18 in a catchweight that was 138.1lb. Ladd was not capable of achieving the weight however Aspen took the victory and defeated Hoy via TKO. Invicta FC, 21 was her last fight for promotion. Invicta FC 21, Eubanks won by unanimous vote. Her UFC debut was in UFC Fight Night 118 when she faced Lina Lansberg. She dominated Lina by pound-for-pound, and took the TKO round in the second. In her second fight, she defeated Tonya Evinger more convincingly. Ladd defeated Evinger with a punch during the opening round, she was awarded a Bonus Performance of the Night. Invicta FC, a rematch of UFC Fight Night dos Anjos and Lee She fought Sijara Eubanks to win her first major fight. Ladd took home an unanimous decision in a great back-and forth fight among the pair of fighters, received an award of Fight of the Night bonuses. Ladd's first loss came in her next fight against Germaine de Randamie in Ladd's first UFC main event fight. Randamie beat Ladd within 16-seconds, ending her win streak. After a short break, she returned to finish Yana Kunizkaya of the UFC in their ESPN 7 third-round fight. As a last-minute replacement for her UFC match, she faced Norma Dumont during UFC Fight Night 195. She lost the fight via majority decision.
